Palm Reading - Life Line
The life line is the line that goes around the thumb from between the
mound of Mars and Jupiter to the bottom of the mound of Venus at the
base of the thumb or at the wrist. The life line is not only an
indicator of how long a person can live but the quality of life they
lead and what they do with what they are given. The life line can hold
the adversities of our lives along with the triumphs and goals.
Starting at the beginning of the life line, at the base of the mound
of Jupiter and the mound of Mars, is the lifeline. Usually it is
joined at with the headline. Sometimes it is not. When it is not, it
just means the individual is independent either because of
circumstances or because of who they are as a person. At times, there
are indicators of adoption or fostering. This can be shown with
feathering of the lifeline in a downward turn, and the headline
separated. Other times, when there has been a difficult child hood
triangles and squares or dark patches will appear between the join of
the lifeline and the headline. It is important to note that it may not
have been a difficult childhood but circumstances may have attributed
to the difficulty. If the child was difficult, then the lifeline and
the headline if joined will be darker than the rest of the lines.
If there is a star at the beginning on the lifeline, this means that
there has been great difficulty in the individuals life. No matter
where on the lifeline it may be, but if it is at the beginning look
for circumstances that may have attributed to a trauma.
Going further down the life line, the headline and the life line will
separate. If they are already separated, then look for the downturn in
the life line to go around the thumb. There are many things to look
out for, such as the darkness of the line, this means that the
person’s childhood comes with them into adult hood and they have
trouble getting over it. If the lifeline is clear and deep, it means
you feel deeply. If the life line is pitted with circles, you may lead
an isolated life of your own choosing or because of circumstances. If
the lifeline is crossed with lines, there is opposition to what ever
you do in your life. If your lifeline is clear of any of these, then
you lead a charmed life indeed!
If the life line suddenly dips or curves, it just means that the
person leads an usual existence where emotions have a fair amount of
play in their existence. If a lifeline breaks has a small thread
leading onto the next part of the lifeline, it means a serious illness
or accident will occur but they will survive. If the life line ends
abruptly and does not continue on, it doesn’t mean that the person is
going to die, it means the person it going to lead a life full of
quality and charm and getting to that point in the lifeline, just
means to continue on as normal. People with full life lines and no
breaks can end up by dying just as much as those who have an abrupt
lifeline.
Getting triangles and squares on the lifeline is fortunate as they are
indicators of protection. At some point in our lives we need
protection and this is indicated with the squares and triangles.
Lines of influence usually come from the base of the thumb up to the
base of the mound of Jupiter. The deeper the line the more influence
we have in our lives. If the line angles up and goes along side the
life line, mirrors it, then a charmed and happy life is indicated. If
the influence line breaks through the lifeline, then outside forces in
the guise of friends help the person to overcome hardship or obstacles
at that time in their lives. If there is no influence line, then there
is no need to worry, it just means that the individual can look after
themselves in more ways than one, or is isolated and doesn’t have to
worry about human dynamics in any way.
If there is a double life line, similar to an influence line, but is
existent at the rate of an individuals life, ie. If at the age of say
forty, the double lifeline will be at the age of forty. A very
fortunate circumstance, where the individual may lead a life of charm
free of worry and stress. I have seen this, mostly in elderly people
and rarely in people of today, with our high stress society. But the
double lifeline is also protection. When the protection is taken away
as it can be, then the person is left wondering how to cope with life.
So the double life line is a double edged sword.
Big circles like islands in the life line can indicate illness or
stresses in a life. Lines that feather up can indicate travel to
foreign lands. Feathering down can indicate travel with in one’s own
country or environment.
The life line is divided into three. The first stage, from when the
person is born to about ages twenty to thirty. Then from thirty to
fifty then from fifty to death. With this in mind it is easier to take
the life line in three separate chunks than as a whole.
