Rock Hounding and Crystal Singing
I am a psychic and have been collecting rocks, stones, crystals and
fossils for a long time. I have a large collection of rocks at home.
They sit in a box in the master bedroom, or are dotted around the
apartment on view. In fact I have stones and crystals and fossils
cramming every nook and cranny of our house. Most of my crystals come
from Wales. Most of the stones I have picked up are from around the
town we live in as well as the fossils.
When we first came to Saskatchewan, we lived in Regina for a few
months. While we were there, we visited the natural history museum,
not as big as some places, but it has a huge collection of Native
Indian artefacts and several wildlife (still life) exhibits showing
their natural habitat. I learned that Saskatchewan was once an inland
sea. The only remnants of it can be seen up north with the Athabasca
sand dunes and the various pockets of sand dotted around the province.
I learned that there are deposits of fossils all around Saskatchewan
and most are of the seashell variety.
The fossils I have picked up are encased in chalk, some of them have
flint with it, or compacted with other crystals like crysoberyl,
olivinite, pyrite and too many others to mention. Most of the fossils
have been small sea shells, some I haven’t been able to identify.
Others are a mystery to me. But, I have had fun looking up the
different crystal structures making up the stones I have managed to
find. My children have taken up the cause, and look into every nook
and cranny to find that special stone, with red clusters of cubed
crystalline structures, or shiny purple crystals like sandstone. We’ve
found huge structures of black crystals in boulders, some of them
placed around the town too big to move anywhere with out an earth
mover. Some times when the grader passes over the back roads after the
winter is over to cover the pot holes, we find rocks and stone split
and previously uncovered. It’s a rock and crystal collectors paradise.
One particular stone I found had a soapy green crystal structure.
Looking at it, it seemed to change colour from dark green to light
almost opaque and then to pink and red. Almost like tourmaline. But
then I couldn’t be sure. Trying to find answers I contacted a
geologist, but with it being a small department, they were too busy. I
still haven’t identified the crystal structures as yet, but I’m
digging to find out more information. But, in the meantime, I continue
to look for stones that have that unusual something about them.
However, when I work with my crystals, I use them with my clients.
Sometimes I use the internet to work with people on Chakra healing,
other times I’ve used my crystals to work with my clients when they
come for readings. Usually it is just to have them hold the stones and
not much else. But what I really enjoy doing when I go searching for
crystals is crystal singing. It is a form of intuitive matching up of
the person to the stone.
I have used this technique when I have gone to find crystals in and
around the town where I live and in Wales. I went to an old mine near
to where I was staying, having never been to the mine before, I
ventured around hearing a whisper in my head and a tug in my middle. I
found what I was looking for each and every time. Parts of large
geodes and single quartz crystals with large deposits of aquamarine
were found. I gave them away to friends and family and eventually when
I moved here, I found more crystals using the same crystal singing
technique. It’s a lot of fun to do and when I do find what I have been
tuning into, it can be, as most of the time it is, a surprise.
I have managed to find large crystals of citrine, clear quartz, mica,
pyrite and even some gold. I have found some very large deposits of
small red crystals which when looked at closely are cubed and fragile.
They come in differing shades of red to smoky pink, but on the whole
they are a joy to find. I have even found fossils with this technique,
my most recent find I gave to my husband who was happy to show off the
worms hole he found in the stone as well as the fossil of some sea
creature from long ago.
My children love to find rocks and are interested in learning more
about where they come from and what’s in them. Even my husband is
curious as to what some of the rocks I have picked up might contain.
Some of the bigger and more curiously interesting stones and rocks I
use as a foot rest, which is very cooling on the feet, and I use some
for book ends in my office. The rocks, stones and crystals I find, I
cleanse and power up to use for my house, but there are others in town
who come and ask me to do the same for them.
A friend of mine whose house burnt down earlier in March of this year
in 25 Celsius below weather, with everything gone including her cats,
managed to find amongst the ruins and frozen water, a crystal her
grandmother gave to her. It had sat on her window sill in her bedroom,
the first room to be gutted. Stranger things have happened, and when
she told me she’d found the crystal lying out in the back garden
somewhere untouched by the fire, she immediately thought of me and
gave it to me. Some how, with the loss of her house and all that has
happened to her since, it didn’t feel right accepting her gift, so I
cleansed it and powered it up for her. Since it was my gift, I gave it
right back to her. Nonplussed she told me about how her grandmother
had given her the stone as well as all the other things in the house
that had burnt down. It was the only thing left of her grandmother
that she had. Deeply touched by the generosity and kindness she’d
shown me, I explained why I had given back her crystal, and while she
doesn’t necessarily believe in what I do as a psychic, she is my
friend and I do believe things happen for a reason with no such thing
as coincidence, there are only incidences that lead us to a certain
conclusion.
The opportunity to go out and get a crystal for my friend was
overwhelming and since I’d found one recently with unusual colouring
and the feel of soapy green to almost clear, with the fractured pieces
I gave her from the stone, she took them home and put them into her
garden. Since then, she has had a tremendous amount of good luck. She
managed to get her lot fixed up to town specifications, her new house
was transported and moved onto her fixed up lot with a week and she
was living in her new house within six weeks of the fire occurring.
I’d like to attribute her luck to a lot of hard work on her part, but
I can’t but help thinking that I helped with powering up of her
crystal. I hope it works for her in the years to come.
When it comes time for us to move to another town, or city, we will
have to let some of our rocks and stones we collected, go. We probably
will give them to our friend whose house burnt down. I know she’ll
appreciate them and put them into her garden!
